The build quality , design and price suited my requirements.
When they arrived 2 days later I was most excited to see how they performed.
My first view over a misty autumn woodland from my window made my jaw drop, amazed at the clarity and crispness of the precision optics I was totally impressed by the handling and performance of these binoculars.
They will be perfect for my birding and are compact and light enough to travel. -
this was for a gift and i am assuming that it met expectations in every way.

These are a good value for the price. I’ve got a competing brand’s binoculars that are very similar, cost 25% more, and aren’t quite as nice. These Bushnells are clear, bright, and sharp. There might be some color fringe, but if so, it’s really small, unlike my others. All the adjustments are firm and smooth, with no rattle. I’ve got four pairs of binoculars, and these are the first I’d grab on most occasions.

My mom is a nature buff. She takes these hiking with her. She loves the size and weight of this particular binocular. High-quality glass, sturdy construction, and excellent image.
-
Great binocs! You won’t be disappointed.

I love road trips, the spur of the moment kind, just me and my Lab trekking through nature on a whim. These Bushnell Engage EDX binoculars will be a permanent fixture in my truck.
The most important aspect is the clarity and true color of whatever I’m focusing on; birds, critters, leaf patterns, upcoming trail conditions, or general scenery. I have used these in both bright and overcast conditions with equal success. Very impressive in all situations.
It’s what makes the viewing impressive that should be acknowledged. The extra-low dispersion fluorite glass makes even low light viewing clear and crisp. The lenses are coated to protect against water, fog, and even fingerprints! And the anti-reflection coating makes for true, bright color across the full light spectrum.
Comfort is essential when using binoculars. The twist-up eyecups block extraneous light in the “down” position while wearing glasses or twisting the eyecups “up” when not wearing glasses. Since the eyecups twist the user can stop the height of the eyecups at any point between fully up and completely down.
The IPD (Interpupillary Distance) adjustment may not range from horse to cyclops, but it seems to have enough adjustment for most everyone.
Once the eyecups and IDP adjustments are made the focus and diopter adjustment is possible. First you focus with the left eye, unlock the diopter ring then focus the right eye. Once it’s set to visual perfection lock the diopter ring and from that point on use the center focus knob. Regardless of how you change the center focus knob, the diopter will remain the same despite differences in vision between the left and right eyes. While this may seem like a tedious endeavor at first, once this adjustment is made you can make note of your personal eye adjustment for future reference.
I really like the exterior coating on the binoculars. A rubberized, grippy texture with thumb indents. I used them in the rain and never felt as though they would slip out of my wet hands. Also provided is a nice drawstring bag, a fairly heavy duty case, lens covers, and a padded neck strap. There is a tripod mounting socket as well.
I am more than pleased with the quality and superior vision capabilities of the Bushnell Engage EDX 10 x 42mm binoculars.
