This is a outstanding binocular. Living in the north woods it is the best for size and clarity of any we have ever used. You can bring up the wild life and birds immediately in focus. A must for spotting bear, deer, wolfs, and coyotes when in the woods. Birds seem to jump out at you when viewing from a distance. You would not be disappointed with this binocular. The delivery time is outstanding.

I got these as an upgrade to my smaller set (Steiner Predators), which were an upgrade to an earlier lower cost set. I keep these in the car for travel purposes and they’ve been great to have along on trips. Clear image, nice color, not too expensive. They suit my needs well.
-
Well-designed and very compact. Better quality that I would have expected at this price. I’ll be primarily using them when I’m sailing, so I appreciate their compactness. The optics seem quite good.
These are definitely worth the money!

Having owned many pairs of entry level Bushnells in my lifetime, I decided it was time to upgrade to a higher specified pair of 8 x 42 binoculars. After a lot of online research I narrowed my field down to 3 pairs: Bushnell Engage EDX, Vortex Diamondacks, and Nikon Monarch 5s, all of which had very similar specifications. Went to SAIL, a leading oRead more about Having owned many pairs of entry levelutdoors retailer here in Toronto, where I was able to do a side-by-side test. All 3 are extremely well made, lightweight, have great hand-feel and excellent quality glass. After much back-and-forth, I ranked the Bushnell and Vortex binos as basically a tie and the Nikon’s a close number 2. Apart from having many years of happy viewing with Bushnell products, the EXO coating sealed the deal. They’re a great pair of binoculars with a build quality and features that would have only been found in binos costing thousands of dollars not all that long ago. Combine all of that with a great warranty and the choice is easy. Treat yourself to a pair of these superb binoculars. You’ll be happy you did.
